Shareholders
The company is privately owned by two individuals - Alan Key and Bob Tisdall. Both are very active in the day to day operations of the business.
Alan Key established Dialog as a specialist mining IT services consultancy shortly after graduating from the Queensland Institute of Technology in 1979.
As Dialog’s Managing Director, Alan has charted the company’s growth from this specialist beginning into one of Australia’s largest privately held IT services organisations. The group employs over eight hundred people and provides a comprehensive range of application software services and consultancy to a broad spectrum of industries and to all levels of government.
Throughout his career, Alan has remained committed to developing and fostering Australia’s information technology industry. With a focus on intellectual property commercialisation and export market development, he has served on numerous industry and government boards and committees.
Alan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society. He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing) and Master of Applied Science by Research and Thesis. For his career achievements and contribution to industry, Alan received the Queensland University of Technology Alumnus of the Year award.
Bob Tisdall graduated from the University of Wales with a degree of Bachelor of Science (Eng) in electronic engineering in 1972, and moved to Australia two years later. He quickly established an IT services company, A I Pty. Ltd., which merged with Dialog in 1987. He became an executive director and shareholder of Dialog, positions he still holds.
Bob is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and has been the National Vice President of the society. His contribution to the ACS was recognised with an honorary life membership.
