DIALOG’S TEMPORARY SKILLED SHORTAGE (TSS) VISA (SUBCLASS 482)
Currently Dialog has access to a number of TSS s482 temporary visa places for skilled overseas IT people. Using this visa stream Dialog is able to employ people from overseas who can:
- Work in Australia for periods between one and four years.
- Bring eligible dependents (spouse, children) to Australia. Secondary applicants may work or study.
- Travel in and out of Australia during their visa term after initial entry into Australia.
Visa Changes
In April 2017 the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) made available a 2 or 4 year TSS sponsored work visa. These immigration changes have tightened application requirements including fewer ICT roles available, mandatory English language and security checks and also lowered the age eligibility to 45 years. Permanent residency is only available after 3 years work with Dialog under a 4 year visa.
Process
Once employment terms are agreed, Dialog applies to sponsor the role with DoHA. After sponsorship approval, then the new employee submits their visa application to the Department.
These applications can take some time to process. Both you and Dialog may be required to respond to questions.
After receiving your visa grant letter from DoHA and confirmed your start date with Dialog, then arrangements can be made by you to relocate to Australia and commence employment.
Agreement
Dialog is held legally liable for your conduct and the conduct of your family members while in Australia. Dialog is held financially responsible for all costs the government and the community may incur should any issues arise.
In recognition of Dialog’s acceptance of the legal and financial obligations, provision of the employment opportunity, and the investment in bringing you on board, you will be required to enter into a two year term employment agreement with Dialog.
